Vodafone opens network operations centre in Pune

DELHI: Vodafone India on Wednesday unveiled what it called a Super
Network Operations Centre (SNOC) in Pune aimed at close and better
monitoring of its telecom infrastructure.
The SNOC provides an
insight into the workings of Vodafone's 120,000+ sites that enable
network coverage across 22 circles remotely, Vodafone said in a
statement.
The facility spreads across 40,000 sq. feet with a
housing capacity of 600. It is equipped with amenities such as CO2
monitoring system, specialized photo-hydro ionization (PHI) cells with
modern access control.
Vishant Vora, director - technology,
Vodafone India said that the SNOC lets the company proactively measure
and improve customer experience and service quality in real time.
"It is also a single source of truth for the health of our network," Vora added.
India's No. 2 carrier also unveiled what it calls The Super Network
Experience Centre (SNEC) which offers Vodafone's enterprise customers
with business communication solutions.
The SNEC is equipped
with the complete suite of Total Communication Solutions comprising of
wireline and mobility, offering Machine to Machine Solutions.
The company said that SNEC helps the enterprise customers to identify and discuss their evolving communication requirements.
"The stimulating environment of SNEC is ideal to gain a deeper
understanding of the unique needs of each Enterprise customer and
sharing with them how Vodafone Business Services can partner with them
and add value by understanding their business challenges and offer
innovative solutions to help, address them from a revenue, cost and
efficiency basis," Naveen Chopra, director - Vodafone Business Services,
said in the statement.
